Origin of selection
The United Nations announced "the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" in 2015 and adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to clearly chart the direction of the world's future efforts from 2016 to 2030. Over the past eight years, organizations around the world have integrated the SDGs into their internal cultures and adopted innovative strategies to practice sustainable development. There have been many inspiring breakthroughs and success stories, fully demonstrating the promotion of sustainable development in Taiwan and the Asia-Pacific region. In order to maintain the vitality of sustainable development, the "2024 3rd Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Awards (APSAA)" and the 4th Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards (TSAA) are specially organized. The combined name is " The 2024 Asia-Pacific and Taiwan Sustainability Action Award (hereinafter referred to as the Award) recognizes the outstanding achievements and contributions of all walks of life in implementing the United Nations’ 17 sustainable development goals. The award ceremony will be held in conjunction with the 3rd Asia-Pacific Sustainability Expo and Summit. , and exchange sustainable results with the international community.
 
The Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Awards selection event will award three major award categories: (1) the "Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Award" to encourage all walks of life to implement SDGs; (2) the "Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Award" to encourage the government to implement sustainable policy plans and achieve sustainable cities. "Livable Sustainable City Award", (3) "Top Sustainability Award" in recognition of individuals who have made outstanding contributions and set examples in promoting enterprises to move towards sustainable development.
 
This year's awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Asia-Pacific Sustainability Expo and Summit. It is expected that enterprises, universities, and government units from Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and other Asia-Pacific countries will participate in the event. In 2023, there will be more than 120 public and private sectors and units. Curated, and with more than 30,000 visitors participating in this event, it has extremely high international and social visibility. We hope that through this international event, guests can learn about the outstanding performance and innovative actions of various sectors at home and abroad in SDGs, ESG, CSR, DEI and USR, thereby stimulating opportunities for cross-industry alliances and the development of domestic and foreign markets, and driving corporate innovation. energy and promote international competitiveness.
